Switchboombang Product Visualization

Real-time freedom for real-world products

  • Use case
  • Product Visualization

Switchboombang develops modular training equipment for firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency responders. With each unit weighing over 300kg, showing the product in person isn’t always an option.

Before building the configurator, potential customers had to rely on static images or PDFs, tools that made it hard to convey the versatility, scale, and functionality of the equipment. This limited not only the understanding of how the product could be used, but also slowed down the decision-making process.

The company needed a better way to showcase complex, customizable products to professionals in high-stakes fields, giving them clarity, precision, and confidence during early-stage conversations.

We partner with technical and mission-driven teams to build 3D configurators that explain complex products clearly, highlight real functionality, and stay true to form and performance.

“The team behind Switchboombang trusted us to create a configurator that could faithfully represent every detail and function of their modular training doors—without compromising on clarity, accuracy, or speed.”

what we delivered

Configurators should do more than look sharp, they should help users understand what a product does, how it works, and what makes it versatile. For Switchboombang, that meant designing a fast, intuitive interface that reflects the industrial identity of the brand while offering an in-depth, real-time overview of all available configurations.

Creative & technical direction

From the beginning, we worked hand-in-hand with the founder to define the project's structure, identifying key components to highlight, defining user flows, and aligning the experience with the visual identity and communication goals of the brand.

Product visualization & optimization

Every part of the door system was optimized for streaming without losing fidelity—showing realistic interactions, dimensions, and finishes across dozens of configuration options.

UX/UI design for 3D

The interface is clean, minimal, and purpose-built. It avoids noise and distraction to focus on technical clarity, while supporting smooth part selection, variant switching, and descriptive callouts that explain each component.

Interactive functions

Users can build their training door in real time by combining two base types with various add-ons—each update reflected instantly. Technical specs for each component are also accessible, supporting informed decision-making.

Cloud streaming with pixel streaming

The experience is powered by Unreal Engine and delivered via Pixel Streaming, ensuring reliable performance and visual precision across all modern devices and browsers.

Impact Value

The configurator gives Switchboombang a professional-grade way to present their modular door systems digitally, helping prospects and partners understand the product’s structure, adaptability, and use cases before they even get on-site.

Now, trainers and procurement officers (from fire departments to emergency response units) can explore the system in real time, understand its full capabilities, and visualize different builds based on their operational needs.

The configurator provides a powerful way to present complex, heavy products that aren’t easy to move or demonstrate in person. With clear visuals and interactive logic, it helps users grasp key differences, test configurations, and make informed decisions faster.
